Interior Painting Process
When painting inside your home we will always do our best to cause as little disruption to you and your family as possible. We take great care to protect your home and valuables at all times. If you are having several areas of your home painted we can work with a schedule of painting that will be the most convenient for the customer.
Our interior painting process is as follows and will be done as specified in your estimate.
Protection Of Your Home and Property
All flooring surfaces will be covered in drop cloths as well as any other surfaces that need protection, such as counter tops or shelving. Any large furniture left in the room will be covered in plastic.
Preparation
We mask any hardware that can not be removed. Nails will be removed and holes repaired unless you want to hang your pictures or wall decorations back in the exact spot. We patch any wall or trim imperfections. An overall sanding of the walls is done to ensure a smooth finish. Any necessary caulking of window and door frames, moldings and baseboards, as well as corner and joint cracks is done to create the best possible looking finish.
Painting
A high quality interior paint that is suitable for the specific surfaces is applied. Great care is taken to ensure a beautiful looking finish on all surfaces. Our standard is to apply two coats of paints to walls and trims unless it is just being freshened up with the same colour. In some cases extreme colour changes may require three or more coats.
Inspection
After we have carefully inspected our work we will ask that everything is to your satisfaction.
Clean Up
Your home will be left tidy and organized at the end of each work day. All garbage will be removed. Empty paint cans will be dealt with appropriately and taken to a recycling center. If the customer wishes we will leave any left over paint with them for future use and for making reference to the paint colour.
