This Nanaimo exterior painting project completely revitalized a faded cedar siding home. With a modern dark gray stain, crisp white trim, and fresh landscaping, the transformation gave the property a clean, contemporary look. The result — a dramatic boost in curb appeal and resale value.
This project was one of our favourite exterior painting makeovers because the transformation was so striking. The home’s wood siding was still in solid condition but had become faded and tired-looking. Before we arrived, the homeowner added trim around the windows to enhance their size and give the house more character. We also completed the full interior painting after upgrades like replacing older trim with modern flat stock. (You can view that project here: A Home Purchased To Renovate And Flip

We refreshed the exterior with a warm white for the trim, fascia, soffits, deck railings, and posts. The siding was painted a contemporary gray, while the gutters and downspouts were colour-matched to blend seamlessly with the siding.

The owner also installed a new double front door with sidelights, we finished it with a clear coat to showcase the natural wood. A larger deck was built and stained gray to coordinate with the house, with white railings that tied into the trim. New landscaping, including shrubs, plants, and fresh bark mulch, completed the look.
These thoughtful upgrades and professional painting made a dramatic difference—boosting both the home’s curb appeal and resale value.
