The owner loved the layout and design of this home, but did not like the golden colour of the walls. They didn’t work well with her modern furniture. We were able to update the look by painting the walls a mid-tone grey colour.
The new look is dramatically different. The homeowner was excited to set up her furniture and decor items in a space that complimented them. The colour used was Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. It has a slight blue undertone. It’s a great colour for a fresh modern look.
To add a bit of colour in the powder room it was painted a soft spa blue colour.
A few months later the owner hired us to paint more of the rooms in the home. The rec room was one of areas that still had the original gold colour from the previous owner. We painted it with the same grey we used throughout the main living space of the house. The new colour instantly gave it and updated look.
The owner had previously hired someone to paint her daughters room in a vibrant blue colour. They attempted to do it with only one coat of paint. This left the walls with patchy spots. We applied a second coat and now it has the full coverage and intensity that the colour was meant to have.
The den had a combination of gold and burgundy walls that made it feel quite dark. The grey colour works well in the space.
The ensuite also went from gold to grey.
