The owners lived in the downstairs of this home while they did an extensive renovation to the main level. The walls were painted in an eggshell sheen while the doors and trim were painted in a semi-gloss sheen in the same colour. This is a popular method used by decorators to give a monochromatic colour scheme but by using the semi-gloss on the trim and doors it gives them a slightly different look. The fireplace was painted a dark chocolate colour and we stained the large ceiling beams. The den was the only room that had a different colour painted on the walls, it was a sage green. The same trim colour that was applied in the rest of the house was also put into this room.
