About Our Estimates
We provide free written estimates for our customers without obligation. They are done in a timely manner and sent by email or hand delivered.
The estimate will describe in detail what work will and will not be included. The customer will know exactly what they are getting. The price is fixed and will not change unless you request additional work. We will take the time to discuss with you what your expectations or concerns are. We will go over the product options and what preparation work needs to be done.
Our standard service of painting is to apply two coats of paint to all surfaces. In some circumstances one coat may be sufficient, other times three or more coats may be required. We will discuss with you what the best option is for each job. The estimate will always state how many coats will be applied to each surface.
If you need a large amount of painting done, but can’t have it all done at once, we can offer solutions. A few separate estimates can be done to break the price down. You can choose to do only one estimate with out any obligation of doing the others.
What To Consider When Choosing A Company
We encourage people to get estimates from multiple painting companies as you would for any work being done to your home. Make sure to ask questions and read your estimate carefully to see exactly what you are getting.
The estimate you choose should never be based on price alone. A large price discrepancy usually correlates with the amount of preparation being done prior to painting. The prep work is a major component of painting and can take a great deal of labour, often more than the painting itself.
Factors that should be taken into consideration before making your choice:
- The experience of the painter and how long they have been in business.
- Are they a year round established painter?
- What quality of product is being used, and how many coats of it are going to be applied?
- Who will be doing the painting? You might be impressed with the person who came out and did the estimate, but are they doing the actual work?
- Do they have several good references they can supply and are there examples of their work you can view?
- Is the company licensed and are they carrying Workers Compensation Insurance?
