This is the second time we’ve had the pleasure of painting for these clients. They moved to this charming little strata home and made prior arrangements to have us start painting on the day after their possession date. Most of their furniture and belongings, other than essentials were stored in the garage until we were done. This made the painting process more efficient, especially while we were painting all of the ceilings. The walls were done in a greige colour and a warm white was used for the trim work and doors. It’s ready to settle into and decorate.

We were pleased to paint for these clients again after doing their full exterior the previous year. They were ready to make a change from the cooler gray tones that the interior walls were originally painted.

They chose a creamy beige colour for the main living spaces. The master bedroom was painted in an comforting shade of coral and the child’s room on the main level was done in a rich, mossy green. To compliment the warmth of the colours all of the trim work and doors were done in a creamy white. The new colours have made the house look very inviting.

These bedrooms were ready for a makeover. One of them had a border to remove along the ceiling line and the walls of both rooms needed a fair amount of patching and sanding. The client had us re-paint in a warm cream colour called White Down from Benjamin Moore. What a difference it made in the brightness and feel of the rooms.

A repaint can have a big impact without doing a dramatic colour change. These clients were ready to move on from their gold coloured walls. They wanted a colour that looked updated, but not so different that it would require a complete décor change. Their main concerns were choosing a colour that worked well with the slate flooring and the kitchen cabinets. They were not fond of the flooring, but it would be too costly to replace. The good thing is the floor has many colours in it to pull from. As long as the new wall colour was in the right tone it would work.

They chose Bennington Gray, one of the timeless colours from the Benjamin Moore historic collection. It’s not what most people would consider gray. The best way to describe it would be a warm neutral with a subtle golden/green undertone. The first picture below is the original gold walls. There’s nothing wrong with them, but could be considered somewhat dated and they are fairly dark.

In this next photo we have re-painted the walls in Bennington Gray. It give the space an updated look and it’s a bit lighter and brighter. It works well with the kitchen cabinets, the fireplace and the existing trim work colour.

The new owner of this townhouse wanted a warmer colour on the walls. The existing blue/gray was cold feeling in comparison to the floors and other warm wood tones in the home. They hired us to re-paint the main living space, entry, stairwell and upper landing with a warm gray/green colour.

Through referrals we’ve painted several patio homes in this complex. These clients were ready for a change from the yellow and dark gold accent walls.

We painted the walls throughout the main living area, kitchen, guest bedroom and laundry room. They recently installed new gray carpet so they picked a light gray for the walls and went with a warm white for the trim work and doors.

We were hired to paint this condo to prepare it for sale. The owners wanted the condo to be painted in a colour that was neutral enough that it would appeal to a wide variety of potential buyers. They choose Benjamin Moore Pale Oak for the walls. The trim work and doors were painted in Simply White. The condo is clean, refreshed and ready to sell.

When the client purchased this condo the walls were painted in an off-white with a very cool undertone. They did not like it and it didn’t work well in the space. When you paint your walls a white colour it’s important that it’s the right white that works with the other elements of your home. Regardless, white walls are not for everyone and this client wanted a warmer colour with more depth.

The client had us re-paint the walls of the main living space and bathroom in three variations of an earthy colour. It compliments their furnishings, flooring and area rugs.

The walls throughout the main living space of this patio home were painted in a gray colour several years ago. The homeowner never quite warmed up to the colour. The living room has north facing windows and therefore receives little to no direct sunlight for most of the year.

To add a sense of warmth the client chose to have us re-paint the walls in a cheery yellow colour. We carried the colour through the living and dining area, the kitchen, hallway and entry. To help further brighten up the space we re-painted the ceilings as well. At first glance they didn’t appear that off-white, but once we started to apply a white ceiling paint it became obvious how much of a gray tone they had. The trim work and doors were re-painted in soft white.
